My Tomato Pepper Ferment

This is the one I made:

1 clean quart jar
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
5 green tomatoes, sliced
5 cloves garlic
1 Tbs pickling spice
1 1/2 Tbs canning salt
1/2 Tbs sugar
2 cups water

I put 2 cloves garlic in bottom of the jar, then I sliced the green tomatoes. I layered the tomatoes then bell pepper mixed with the red pepper, the rest of the garlic and the pickling spice. Then I mixed the salt and sugar into the water, then poured it into the jar. For now I am using a coffee filter with a rubber band. Later I will put the lid on the jar and shake it several times a day. This method seems to work best for me.

    That sounds delicious. What does it end up tasting like? I've never really done much with my green tomatoes.
