What a summer!

Ooooh boy, so much has happened since my last entry...
On the evening of July 26th, I had another TIA and ended up spending a good part of my birthday (27th) in the emerg department. Scary and disappointing, to say the least. So back to the doctor and Secondary Stroke Prevention Clinic for oodles of more tests.

Results of which are negative so far, but they are not over yet. And I was told NO EXERCISE other than slow walking as my emerg ECG apparently showed that I had had a heart attack in the past, the past being sometime between February and July (WTF?!?!?).

Saw the cardiologist last week. She put forward the thought that since nothing is showing so far, that what is happening to me could be a rare type of migraine, and she is very interested in what the neurologist has to say after my second MRI (coming up at end of October). So still more tests to come, but there are no signs of a heart attack after all the testing I have had done so far, so if in fact I did experience one it couldn't have been very big or do any damage.

Despite my health scare, I still enjoyed the summer. Went to the Netherlands in August and then visited my sister up north when I came back. Tried stand up paddle boarding at her place on the lake and loved it. Not really exercise, right???? :-)

Started thinking about someday purchasing a waterfront property for myself...Retirement seems like the only time as I can't manage two homes. Adding this to my goals sheet for the next 10 years.

I am feeling more confident about resuming exercise now that the tests are all showing negative. Planning on starting Spark's walking program (Walk Off Up to 20 Pounds in 2 Months) next Sunday!
