October 11, 2016 DIFFICULT DAYS

There are times when we have difficult days or hear of others who are having hard times. We would be lying if we said we never had hard times. Hard times hits us all. However, difficult days are opportunities. We may not see the opportunities at the time because we are too focused on our situation but if we take our focus off the issue and put our focus on God, He can show us a way out. He can turn our difficult days into opportunities to boldly show His glory to others and to boldly share His word.

1 Peter 5:10 "In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation." (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for the difficult times in our lives. We know they can be scary if we aren't focused on You. We know they can be overwhelming if we aren't reading Your word. We know they can knock us down if we don't lift them up to You. Remind us that difficult days are opportunities to let You take control. Remind us difficult days are opportunities to share Your word with others. Help us be bold and not waiver when we have difficulties so You can shine through us and we can be a witness and an example for You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

When we put our trust in God, He will help us through the hard times and lift us up to higher ground.

God can turn our difficult days into opportunities to boldly show His glory to others and to boldly share His word.

When we have hard times, we can boldly go to God and ask Him to show us His way.

God wants to shine through us in the good times and bad so we can give Him the glory.

God is always ready to take control when we cry out for His help.

Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble." (NLT)

Focus: We can be bold in difficult times and put our trust in God.
