Today: The First Day of the Rest of my Life

emoticon I am tired! Sick & tired, if truth be told, of being sick & tired & FAT!! emoticon

I make progress for a short time (a few days or a week) and then I go back to my same habits. Ugh!

So, I have decided to renew my commitment and retake The Pledge!

Never Quit Pledge

Today, I promise I will not quit.

I pledge that no matter, how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.

I pledge to make a NEW START today, and forgive myself for my past, and to stop being so critical of myself.

I pledge to take control of myself, to stop making excuses, and stop blaming other people or situations.

I pledge to treat myself as I would my best friend, because that is who I am.

I pledge to stay in the race and to be a WINNER!

PS. I am setting up my Google calendar with a whole bunch of appointments with stuff like:
10am-do wall pushups for 5 minutes
11:30am-Walk the halls for 10 minutes
1pm-do lateral lunges 10 times each side
Etcetera!

    The calendar is an awesome idea. I have an online calendar I use and get reminders when it is time to exercise. It really has made a big difference. Keep going! You can do this!

    Julie, you are on the right track. Only those of us who give up are not successful. We can fall as many times as necessary. To me, all movement is good, even if it is backwards. A detour just gives us more miles under our belts, lets us learn who we really are. And that is an opportunity to learn what we really need. It does take time. I love that you are going back to the drawing board, looking at the pledge and making appointments. I cannot count the times I recommitted myself to better health. And you know, I have improved on some things and not on others. So we just keep at it with a hopeful heart, and a positive spirit, because you are so much better off by trying!

    You can start over everyday. Really we do. I have a Fitbit and it's a great motivator. Everyday I start at 0. Love yourself. Keep going.
