Chinese food, the struggle is real folks

Today was so hard!!!

Chinese food is my weakness. We have this amazing place in town and I could eat there a couple of times a week easy. So I get off work at 1 and almost had myself talked into stopping. No I can beat this. I even looked up the point value to some of my favorites. Oh my!!!!

I made it. I didnt give in. Will I have the same problem tomorrow? I surely hope not.

I thought today was day nine. Nope day 10 for me. Yes.

Food is truly my ADDICTION

    You can do it - I love Chinese food also and have checked Pinterest and a couple of other websites for some healthy recipes I can make at home. My new favorite is bok choy with ginger and garlic - it's not General Tso's but it is pretty yummy!

    Great job passing up the Chinese! Keep visualizing other healthy choices or mix it up at home so it doesn't become an obsession. At times, things like that stick in my head. As long as the image stays there, I end up going after whatever it is. The only solution for me is to try to replace the image with something else.

    It's ok to have sometimes.. I try to make my own and pair it with healthy options too.. I use cauliflower rice instead of their white rice and I add more veggies (usually broccoli) and I fill up on that.

    I love Chinese food too and a week ago, I was in town by myself and I usually stop somewhere to eat, before going home. I had never gone into this yummy Chinese Buffet, on my own, but I was so hungry for it and my husband doesn't like it as much as I do. So I went in and had low carb choices, but I didn't feel that it was as hot or as tasty as it's been always before, so I was disappointed. I know that the sodium must be sky-high, so I drink tons of water. I'll have to remember what happened this time and not count it such an oasis of a place! Food is my addiction too! I walked past the bags of Halloween candy today many times, and that was definitely an NSV!! A day at a time!!

    Chinese is mine too. Once a month I go eat some. Very small portions of what I want and I drink one to two glasses before I go. Cause of the sodium! And I enjoy it and I go on. If I deprive myself I just benge. I can't benge. I've worked to hard to.
