I have to laugh at myself!! Turns out I have the body shape of an avocado, according to to SP waist-to-hip ratio.
My results: 81 - Estimated Health Risk: Moderate - Estimated Body Shape: Avocado
Since storing excessive fat in the abdominal region (known as the "apple" shape) is correlated with an increased disease risk, this test is one way to measure your risk for lifestyle and weight-related diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease and more. Storing fat in your lower half, known as a "Pear" shape, is actually a healthier site for fat accumulation. The less common "avocado" shape is somewhere between an apple and a pear, with health risks higher than a pear-shaped person, but somewhat lower than a true apple-shaped person.
So I have to stop weighing myself everyday!!! It's starting to pull me down a teeny tiny tad. I had a beer with my DH last night after working out in the yard all day I think I logged 240 minutes of fitness, ate healthy, really healthy except for that one Corona Light beer. I gained 2lbs.??? according to my scale this morning. I was 171 & now 173. Gurrr!! So I pull out the measuring tape. I have lost inches, ok that made me feel better. All this led to the waist-to-hip measurement stuff. My DH said if I was an avocado then he must be a kumquat. lolololol!
So my goal is to NOT weigh myself everyday. Once a week ONLY!
Onward we march.....uphill all the way!
