I love this season, too. At home in St. Louis, the trees are still green, but my sister and I are hiking in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and these trees are turning. For the first time, I got to see yellow aspens in person instead of in photographs.
A rest day once a week is a very good idea. 1050 days ago
SO wonderful to see your blog! I've missed you! Today 10-1-16 I went hiking in the wetlands! I do this quite often. BUT today was magical! I had a VERY fun time with a Beaver.... for about 10 minutes 'he' swam & played in the duck pond. (This is an area not many people go to or know about) He was building a small dam. I KNOW this may not be a big thing for many of you, but please KNOW I live in the South West of the USA & in a desert. This was very rare! After the first 5 minutes he spotted me & I believe he played & did a few 'trick' for we! Flips & etc.. Almost like an otter. I took some photos & 2 videos. Here are the first pictures, he was about 5 feet away! I am SO excited! It was just him & me. OMG how lucky am I? VERY! Happy October! PS... I wrote a blog about this & will add to it several times a week, so please keep checking back if you are inspired to do so!
