Better eating

Saturday, October 01, 2016

Saw a nutritionist 2 days ago and had myself weighed on an InBody 520 machine. Found out how much lean muscle and skeletal weight I have and made it easier to see where I need to lose weight. It tells you how much to lose on each part of your body like your arms and legs and trunk area. I thought I had more weight to lose than what I actually need to maintain a healthy body. That is good to know. I think we have too many unhealthy expectations.

The nutritionist has started me on a low GI diet with a booklet that just list normal foods in a low, medium and high GI list and told me what I can eat everyday, what I can eat once a day, and what I should eat no more than 2-3 times a week. I've already lost 8.3 lbs in 2 days on a 1400 calorie diet. It's hard for me to eat that much and get to that many calories. I've had to adjust my insulin down 10 units already, also. Bigger breakfast has made all the difference. Hoping that as I drop this weight, I can do more and shape up this body!

Good job. I tend to have a bigger breakfast as well since I'm in motion more in the a.m.
