Lately I've been clearing out old email inboxes, paring down on digital clutter, and tonight I even stepped away from a number of SparkTeams I really wasn't participating in; there are probably a couple more I could step away from but we'll see.
I don't know why, but getting rid of digital/online clutter brings almost as much relief as getting rid of physical clutter does. I've been working on doing that here and there as often as I can as well. I just feel this need to let go of things, to pass them along or throw them out depending on what the item is.
I recently was introduced to Little Free Library and discovered there are at least 7 near my home ( littlefreelibrar
). I can pass along books that I no longer want but know I won't get a lot of money for from resale places. This way, they can go to good homes and serve a better purpose. That makes me happy! I've also found a few books that I've been wanting but didn't want to spend the money on. Total score! Check out their website and see if there are any near you!
Back in July, not long after I was let go from the place I was so grateful to be working at, I did a Fortune Card reading for myself; just a quick Past-Present-Future reading and "it said" that I would have a new job "soon". Here I am, 2 full months unemployed and upset because my cards "lied" to me. They told me I would be working again "soon" and I'm not. Well DUH girl! Time does not exist so to the Universe everything is "soon" - even though to us humans it is far from our own definition of the word. I need to hold on to faith that something better is indeed on its way to me even as I type these words. The best way to prepare for it is to be making space for it and being grateful for its arrival.
What are you making space for?
