So I am happy to report I am seeing changes. They are slow but they are changes. I could be more disciplined as of lately but this is a lifestyle change so I would rather do this slow and be able to live with it then do this fast and no one be able to live with me. I rededicated myself to spark and my diet over a year ago. I took several months off when my father was diagnosed with cancer but I have been solid with spark for one year now. I am happy to say in that year I have lost 40 pounds. As of lately I have been a little slow with the weight loss but this year's family medical needs have been excessive as of lately and I have been a little exhausted I must confess. I did lose a 1/2 a pound this week so that makes a little over two pounds in three weeks. I won't complain about that though I was really hoping to be about 12 pounds lighter this time this year sadly it has not happened. I still have three months left in this year but it is around the holiday's so that will be a challenge. Thanksgiving is not that hard for me. So I will just have to up my exercise and stay focused on hitting my small goals ten pounds at a time. I would love to hit my goal weight but I would like to do it while all of my friend can still see. ha ha!
I am very excited to say my daughter, who I stressed out about for years, has started watching what she eats and has started slimming down. She has been a binge eater since about the second grade. She topped out last school year at 154 pounds and 11 years old. I was so worried because she had gained 30 pounds in 6 months. Now that she is in middle school she is worried about her appearance and boys. She no longer eats junk foods, drinks water, and eats salads for lunch. I did not pressure her she did it on her own. She has actually started walking as well. I am very excited to see her trying to be healthy and not sneaking food in her bedroom anymore. But now I have the hormonal preteen that replaced my little girl. sniff sniff. One minute she is sweet and the next she resembles a viper. Pair that with my now 13 year old son and they are the dynamic duo of mood swings and hormones. They always say girls are two years more advanced than boys so it is like having twins. Parents of twins get credit. I don't know how they survive without a large bottle of wine. ha ha!
