Week 11

Thursday, September 22, 2016

The last few days have been very stressful. My aging mothers health seems to be on a steady decline, and it's worrying me very much. When I saw her walking the other night, I was sure that with every step, she was going to fall and hurt herself badly or break a hip. Add to that, she is starting to have stomach issues again. And her memory has dropped immensely just over the past couple of months. my grandmother passed away recently from Alzheimers, and I am beginning to think it has passed on to my mom. The stress level shows in my weight loss this week, I didn't hit the numbers I was hoping for. But, a loss is a loss. 2.4 pounds gone forever and I hit my next milestone getting into the 270's. I am very proud of my progress since surgery, it was the best thing I could've done for my health and my family.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother with her health struggles. It is so hard to watch our parents age. My mother had Alzheimer's and passed away 3 years ago. Your progress on your healthy journey is amazing. Keep up the great work.

Sending healing thoughts to you and you Mother. It is so hard to watch our parents struggling. Especially when we are limited in what we can do to make ease the suffering.

RE: your weight loss this week. 2.4 lbs is a lot! Try lifting 2.4 lbs of sugar (or potatoes or anything). You will be impressed with the reality of it.

Sending prayers for your mom. There is no easy way to deal with these issues so just know you have me here if you need someone to lean on.

While you may not have seen the number you were hoping for that 2.4 pounds is gone never to be seen again.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost my aunt to Alzheimers. It is a very tough disease. Do what you can for your mom and stay vigilant with your process. The healthier you are, the more help you can provide her. Good luck to you.

I feel your pain. My grandma passed from Alzheimer's too and I notice those changes in my 83 year old mother. She barely gets around with a cane and falls a lot plus has numerous health issues along with heart disease.
