i have mixed feeling about this. one it has a negative name "cheat day". cheating has never been a good thing so when you schedule a cheat day you feel as if you have fail. when in fact it is part of your dietary program . a day where you treat yourself to something that you normally would not have.two because we feel that we somehow failed we have a cheat week a cheat month and then we are back where we start if not worst. when runners carb load no one says that they had a cheat day , no it is just part of there training. three if someone knows you are trying to lose weight and the see you eating on your cheat day they start to ask you questions like ' It that part of your diet? should you really be eating that? well the answer is yes is part of your diet you planed for it and therefore yes you should be eating it . not a cheat day but a high cal day or a treat day or a free day . anything but a cheat day
I called it treat day. Even now, when I have a day that I go over my calories, I feel guilty. Even though my normal diet is starvation mode. I am working on getting out of that mindset. The last over cal day I was happy and called it healthy day! 1676 days ago
