my challenge

Tuesday, September 06, 2016

i am doing great with the physical activity part of spark people walking my 10000 steps per day and have now added strength tapes and some streaching. no problem but my food is a different thing. cant seem to learn to like veggies. i still want junk food and quick snacks instead of good healthy meals. late nights are the biggest problem i eat a good breakfast and lunch and around 5 pm i start wanting junk and hate to cook so give in to getting fast food or just nibbling on any kind of snack foods. need to really work on a plan for this problem i will search the teams and see if one appears to work on these issues surely i am not the only person in spark that does this. ugh

Oh! Have I got something for you: The Beck Diet Solution book by Judith Beck. There's even a Beck Diet Solution team on SparkPeople. I checked the book out from my public library to see what it was all about, and it made so much sense, I'm ordering my own copy.

This is exactly my problem also. I eat healthy all day long and then the evening comes and I blow it. I do not enjoy cooking, especially cooking for one. My recent goal is to cook meals on Sunday that I can grab and eat throughout the week but then my son wanted to go hiking on Sunday. At least I got the exercise in but didn't get my meal prepping done. Maybe next week.

What helps me - each evening after dinner, make a meal plan for the next day. The next stick to the plan.

You are definitely not alone. I do great at work and then fail miserably on my days off

There is a challenge you could join. It is the Fit Food Challenge. I did this and it teaches you to eat more veggies and fruit, giving good reasons for eating healthy.
