August was not the best month for achieving my goals. Although I did stick to my water intake of 8 cups per day as a minimum & ate 5-6 servings of freggies daily, & started adding walking on my breaks, I just seemed to gain weight each time I stepped on the scale. Although I started out at 181.3, by the end of the month my weight had increased to 187.
My blood sugar did improve with the new meds, even having many readings under 100, but once I ran out of med my sugars have been hovering in the 200 range. But then I've been trying to get the RX filled for my weekly diabetic injection medication for the past 3 weeks with no success. It seems the insurance is requiring a prior authorization which still I'm awaiting to be done by the Endo's office.
I did get some samples yesterday from the Dr so hopefully by the time these are used, then the RX problem will be sorted out.
To achieve my weight loss goal for September, I need to make some positive steps. Here are my goals for the new month:
*Continue my daily water intake of 8-10 cups daily
*Focus on 5-6 servings of FREGGIES daily
*Strive for 6- 8 hours of sleep each night (this is my great challenge)
*Monitoring my BS more closely, checking 2-3 times daily
*Work to get my BS levels down under 180 after meals & under 140 FASTING
*Adding walks in my day, will start with short 10 minute sessions & build up from there
*Lose from 187 down to 183.
I'm ready to get myself back on track & see some positive results on the scale & with how my clothes fit & improvements with my BS. emoticon I just have to keep pushing.
