I wonder why...

Tuesday, August 30, 2016

Why is it that people lose their common decency on social media. It is like they have the only opinion that matters and you are not allowed to have one. They say stupid things they would never say to your face.

I do not post any real political stuff. I do post some stuff that I care about. There is one person in particular, who used to be my student teacher by the way, who attacks me on whatever opinion I have. She will even post stuff and tag me in it to show how wrong my opinion is. How can my opinion be wrong when it is just an OPINION?

Personally, I am tired of reading all the political stuff. In my OPINION all politicians are dishonest. Honesty and politician together in one sentence is an oxymoron. It just doesn't happen.

If I don't like what people are posting, I either block the post or don't follow that person. I don't sit and tell them they are wrong about their opinion. It is their Opinion whether I agree with it or not. Morons have opinions, smart people have their opinions, opinions are like ....holes, we all have one. No one has to agree with our opinions. They are just ours. Some will agree and some won't.

I don't know how many of you saw the national news a few weeks ago where they showed the rioting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but that's where we lived for 23 years. We lived just 2 blocks away from where all of that was happening. I have my own opinions about what is going on there. I don't post my thoughts for fear of retribution and I have to be very careful about what I post on social media because of my business.

Oh well... I just don't get how social media can turn people into such egomaniacs. emoticon

The only social internet/media I'm on is Sparks. I do agree with your opinion on social media. If you wouldn't say it IRL don't say it at all or as mom would say... If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all. I don't talk politics, even with my folks. We're on different sides and I won't hurt them by arguing something neither of us will change our minds about.

I quit social media 2 years ago when Obama took control over the internet. Haven't used it since. I know what you mean about being careful what you post because of your job, I was the same when I was working. And I agree, an opinion is personal, and it is YOURS whether you are a genius or an absolute idiot!

I don't like the disconnect between social media and real life. I wish people wouldn't post things that they wouldn't say to a person's face. To me that just seems like simple courtesy.

I agree with your take on things that relate to Internet, social media. That's not the idea here though I confess I'm very opinionated on things fitness related. But it must feel good to state your case.
