My friend has just been diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer emoticon

I am praying for her and putting out positive vibes emoticon

But... thru this I came come to understand how being over weight can contribute to cancer!
Everyone needs to understand .. we who are FAT are at a higher risk for cancer.

If she had the chance to live her life again she would be at a healthy weight.
People this is life changing!

Tell everyone! emoticon

I'm so sorry for your friend and for you... walking with someone going through something so hard is also hard. You are both I my thoughts and prayers.

What everyone DOES NEED TO KNOW is that, while a healthy weight and lifestyle are protective against all sorts of things, cervical cancer is absolutely NOT caused or exacerbated by obesity and, if you are sexually active, regular pap exams are critical. Cervical cancer is among the most treatable of cancers, and can be 'cured' ...especially if caught early.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer 30 years ago (when I was skinny as a rail) and have been fine ever since... even though since I have also been obese, class 3.

No matter your size, it is important to take care of your health.
