So hubby has been approved and schedule for bariatric surgery next month. Scary but exciting. This has been good project. Lead by him, for him. I'm proud of him and all the changes he's had to make as part of the prep. On September 5th he'll start the 2 week liquid diet phase. I'm going to be doing it with him, I have doctors consent to do so, and in a little nervous. I've never followed am all liquid diet. Never done't anything extreme before so this will be interesting.
He's quit drinking soda pop.
He's stopped using chewing tobacco
He's learned to chew his food
He's learned to not drink for 30 minutes before or after a meal
He's learned his bodies signals for satisfied vs full or stuffed
He's been walking more
This diet is protein based. I won't be working out and I'm doing it to challenge myself, jump start and shock my system and to be supportive. I've been working on all the other behaviors with him because they are solid, science backed changes that help one lose weight.
From there in going to follow a vegan style of diet and slowly reintroduce meats. I know from my last big drop that for me a lot of veggies is key with lean meats.
