Life in recovery, it's 5 AM.

8/19/2016. So today is Big Jake’s last day, tomorrow we take him to college, 7 hours away. I am up way to early, buzzing with things to do. Things for Jake- like does he have all the house stuff he needs packed? Things for Posh- need more labels, driving to the daycare to get labels, out of catalogs, wish the orders would come in. Things for self care- restocked meds, Sparked, doing laundry for my weekend. After we drop Jake of, and get him settled, Cynthia and I are driving to Lincoln City Oregon for a day at the beach.
I’m doing ok. My last visit to the doctor was about lab results. Whoop Whoop! A1C=6.9, down from 7.4, Cholesterol was 154., blood pressure was perfect. Weight was down on her scale to 276. So while I have not been tracking everything, life got kinda busy and I lost spark time, I am doing Ok. I am still working on step 3- exactly HOW do I turn my life over? And I need a sponsor. Praying for that.

Congratulations on working towards renewed health and well being. It is tough to turn our lives over. I have 21 years recovery in OA and it still is a moment to moment surrender at times. You can do this!
