Minor Meltdown

Friday, August 19, 2016

Sometimes, even when you think your doing everything to the best of your abilities, you spread yourself a little too thin. Yesterday was one of those days. I had my day planned out and knew it was going to be a busy one and thought I could handle it. Work was supposed to be an easy day, but it was hard to concentrate on my work when people kept texting me for info on my mom (including lots of opinions on how things should be handled.) I knew I had to play mom taxi after work and would be getting home later than usual, but then everything seemed to be taking longer than I expected and I got home a half hour later than planned. By the time I got home, I was cranky and starving and kind of lost it on my poor husband who had the best of intentions waiting until I got home to finish cooking supper (yes, he is the chef in the family an I'm lucky). The good news is I didn't stray from my eating plan and once I got some food in my belly and was able to sit for a few minutes, I calmed down and apologized. Next time I'll learn to have a snack stashed in the car.

Snacks in the car are important!! I keep snacks in the car because my sugars crash at a certain time when we are out.
