VACATION WEIGHT GAIN

Vacation Weight Gain is disturbing but manageable. First, don't panic! Get right back on Track as soon as possible.
I know how it feels to gain weight after vacation. I just returned from a wonderful vacation with my Family. We went to a Resort in Pa. We were on the Delaware River. There were acres of property to wander and meet people.
We ate delectable food every night. I knew that I would gain some weight and that was OK with me. We got a lot of exercise in. Walking down along the river was really nice and taking a boat ride along the Delaware was so peaceful and relaxing. We saw a family of Eagles and the Captain said that was very rare and we were extremely lucky to see them.
One night, we were at the bon fire and the mosquitoes were out and I got bitten and had a bad reaction. I had about 15 bites and some of them blistered and were very painful. The next day while walking, I collapse on the grass and scared my whole family. My blood sugar had gotten low and I needed orange juice. My son ran for help and he came back with a guy in a golf cart with juice and water and I felt better. So my legs swelled up and and my blisters got larger and it was very annoying. So, I now know that I should have sprayed myself with insect repellent and I should have taken my blood before going for a long walk by the river. I was so thankful to be rescued by the guy with the golf cart.
I really enjoyed my vacation even though I had those bites and even though I collapsed on the lawn. I was thankful that someone was there to help me.
That was the bad things that happened but my vacation was mostly good. The Food was great, the scenery was magnificent and the people were friendly. I had a good time. I enjoyed watching my granddaughters swimming in the indoor pool while I relaxed on a lounge chair. There were lounge chairs by the edge of the river and we could see the kids swimming in the river and watching the people in canoes and kayaks and boats floating by. It was an easy pace and so peaceful and relaxing.
I hated to come home. When I faced my scale at home, I found out that I had gained five pounds. Now some of this is water retention because my legs are still swollen from the mosquito bites. The blisters were very painful and I could not do much. Today was the first day that I feel like the bites are healing. I am back to eating on my normal diet. I know that it might take two weeks to get rid of this temporary weight gain. I know that I can do it because I have done it before. Enjoy your vacation as long as you know that you will get back on schedule as soon as you return.
Now that I am feeling better, I can start to exercise again and keep to my diet. I try to stay between 1200 and 1500 calories a day and at least an hour a day of exercise. I have Patience and Faith that I will get rid of these Five Temporary Vacation Pounds!
