66th anniversary

Tuesday, August 16, 2016

Sixty-Six years ago my husband and I went to Mammoth Cave, KY on our honeymoon and this past Sunday and Monday, we went back to Mammoth Cave and stayed in a cabin just like the one we stayed in on our honeymoon. We went on two cave tours inside the cave on Monday.
The Historic Cave tour we went on in the morning was two hours of hiking and going up and down 500 steps. We covered two miles in the cave that way and saw lots of beauty. Then in the afternoon we went on the Frozen Niagara Tour and saw more beautiful stilagtites and
stilagmites in a one hour hike. We were the oldest couple on both tours and were pleased that we could keep up with the others. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane.l

Happy Anniversary! You had a wonderful trip! The best thing is that both of you could do all the hiking and walking! Hope we will be able to do the same in three years.

Excellent example of the effectiveness of your healthy lifestyle! I was with a few inspiring folks over the weekend, as the triathletes topped out at age 86... Sister Madonna Buder (the winner of the women's 85 - 89 year old category) would have been 20 when you and your DH got married!

Sounds like you two belong in similar company! emoticon
