I am so happy with my continued progress since surgery. I feel like I could move mountains! My wife and I have been working hard on our house renovations, but most of all we have been working on me learning how to walk again. Baby steps, i use my walker around the house, but when we go out somewhere, to the store, to my congregation meetings, I am still using my wheelchair. It's not easy for me, I am a driven person who likes to push the limits and in the past it has cost me. So, This time, with her help, we are going a little slower. I really listen to my body now. If it says I need to take a day off, then I do, no questions asked. Today is also my dedicated weigh in day and I lost another 4.6 pounds! I am a half of a pound away from being in the 200's!! It's a crazy and scary thought, because I have been in the 300's since before i was a teenager. I graduated high school at a whopping 475!! I am feeling better every day and I am going to keep it that way! Having the Gastric Sleeve done is truly saving my life!! I have lost over 58 pounds since May 4th!

I am so happy for you. Looks like we will both be joining the 200 club soon.

I am glad you are listening to your body as you work on your mobility.

I enjoy following your journey ... our journey together to gain back our health. I agree that having surgery was the best decision I have every made.

REALLY happy for your success. You are wise to pay attention to your body when it tells you to slow down or be careful. Congratulations on being so close to a big milestone! How come SP doesn't have a "Proud of YOU" emoticon???

emoticon Your doing great and so is the Mrs, so happy for you both I know having her by your side is a blessing.
It was for me having Hubby holding my hand each step I took after not walking in so long it takes those baby steps for sure but your well on your way to being a new person.
    Job well done.

That's wonderful! I am a year out of gbs but only a month or so out from back surgery- but this is the first time in years I do not need a scooter to get around a store or work. It's certainly a blessing to walk again- we take those little things for granted until they're gone.
    Well done! emoticon
