For those of you who might be wondering how my oldest is doing after splitting open his chin last month, he's doing really good! The glue came off about a week and a half ago and though it's still tender to the touch it looks great! Take a look:
He's feeling better about the scar because it's not as bad as he thought it would be, and I've talked him into letting me put some Young Living Lavender Essential Oil on it now and then to help it heal further and reduce the look of the scar.
I totally overhauled my resume and love how simple it looks now (Curious? you can see it over on my LinkedIn page www.linkedin.com
) and emailed it out to a few places yesterday. I heard back from a few of them already too. One reply read in part " we would not be able to pay for your services at this time" and asked if I would be willing to volunteer my services. I sent back that yes, I would be willing to volunteer. One of the things I was told is not to be afraid to donate time because you never know when the effort you put in to volunteering could turn into a paying position. And to me, "at this time" says that there is a possibility to be paid in the future. Honestly, the hands-on is the most important part to me anyway. Yes I need a paycheck to pay bills, but I want to make a difference for people.
I have not done my weight or measurements for this month yet. I am curious and yet it's not an overwhelming I have to know right this minute like it used to be. Perhaps tomorrow I'll check it. Oh! Tomorrow starts the Cross Country practices for my oldest as well - at 7 AM. Blah! LOL At least where they're practicing is close to home so if I drag him up at 6:30 we'll still make it there by 7. After that I have a personal client to go see.
Ok, back to job hunting I go. I hope you are all having a great start to August!
