Ellipticals rule!

I have noticed that my weight loss slows way down when I do less elliptical work and more other cardio exercises, like biking and walking. Everytime I go back to doing mainly the elliptical, the weight just melts off! I was skeptical that it was really burning that many more calories because walking and biking seem like just as much work, but it really IS burning that many more calories and in fact I think it is burning more than SP says even. WOW. So in addition to rededicating myself to my diet, I am rededicating myself to my elliptical. If I hit a plateau, I may see if changing it up at that point has a different effect.

    A friend of mine is loaning me her Eliptical. I am very encouraged by your success and I hope you can give me some pointers for starting out on the Eliptical. My activity level is low and I walk 3-4 times a week. I am increasing my levels slowly.

    Yeah for you and your progress!
    I just got an inexpensive elliptical and saw your post. Could you email me and let me know how you started out on yours? Minutes, form, etc. I want to get the most out of it and have never used one until yesterday. It isn't the best model, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money until I was sure I liked it. By the way, your daughter is adorable, she has hair a lot like my 4 year old!! Hope to hear from you, thanks, Lisa
