I can't believe that I've been blogging on this page for almost 8 years! I've been on here almost as long as I have on Facebook. LOL. If I'd dedicated myself to being healthier as long as I've been dedicated to social media, then I would have been in better shape by now I think. While I've been on this site this long, I've not been dedicated consistently for more than a year at a time. I've obsessed about losing weight since my mom sent me to Weight Watchers in 1990. LOL.
I took a look in the mirror today and complimented myself. Being 270 pounds isn't good on my body for health reasons but there are still things about me that I can still love about my body.
I don't know if I'll ever get below 200 again. I've tried since 2000 and my lowest was 197 on two different occasions. I just decided today that if I can get stronger and more fit at 200, then I'll be ok with that. I don't want to starve myself just to meet a number.
I finally got my 4 year old started in Pre-K. No surprise that he loves it. He's a social butterfly.
I've been to three group fitness classes in two days and I'm so sore but they were fun! I'm taking classes with a group of older women. Senior step, Line dancing and water aerobics.
Summer has been so busy! We took a couple of mini vacations but not anything week long this year. My mom's job has had a lot of transitioning and she's had to work weekends. We went to Atlanta for one day and we've been to the beach a couple of times for the day. My goal is to buy a vacation package to Gaitlinburg TN for next year.
I was going to sign up and take some free courses here at the local tech school but I think I missed my enrollment deadline. I got notice two days before everything was due but I have some goals I'd like to meet working from home. I am hoping that I can make some more cash now that I have some free time to do more work.
That's my update for now. Its been very hot here! Muggy! Bugs are awful! I've had some pool time at the Y though. That makes up for it.
