I've been setback!

Thursday, August 04, 2016

Uggh. So I just returned to work from a nearly two week vacation yesterday. Eight of those days were spent in Mexico. It was beautiful and fun but not so great for my weight.

I knew I was probably going to gain weight so I expected that and mentally prepared for it. What I wasn't prepared for is my Fitbit dying and injuring my foot the day we were leaving. I got up to use the restroom and it was dark. On the way out, I fell coming down the steps and smacked my left foot on the stairs made of Saltillo tile.

The good news is it's not broken and I should be back in action soon. The bad news is that it's really swollen and I can't exercise very much.

My very bruised foot.

I stayed very active every day, even getting almost 20,000 steps one day (a record for me. yay). But the drinking every day proved too much. i gained about seven pounds. So I'm a little depressed thinking about how hard it's going to be getting back on track when my foot heals. Ugghhh.

Right now I'm not drinking and really trying to watch what I eat so I don't pack on the pounds but I'm still anxious about the whole situation.

Mexico was beautiful. Here are some pictures. Hope you guys enjoy!

That stinks! I hope your foot feels better soon. Love the pictures from your vacation. I looks like you had an awesome time.

On another note, we have the same taste in nail polish. My tootsies are a nice sparkly turquoise right now. :)

I'm glad your foot didn't slow you down while you were there. It sounds like you had a great time and the pictures are great! I'm glad you were able to enjoy this vacation with your son.

It is hard enough to get back on track from vacations but to have a bum foot to hamper exercise efforts makes it worse. Do what you can to keep moving - there are seated videos to help.
The pictures are amazing and the best news is you had a great time. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I've always found that the faster it goes on, the faster it comes off. Keep at it and be diligent. It shouldn't take too long to drop those 7 pounds and be back where you were. And you always have those memories of the fun times in Mexico.

You look like you had a wonderful time. See f you can find some sitting exercises, and watch the sodium intake. That will keep You somewhat active.
