My First Weekend on Nutrisystem (And Success!)

I knew the weekends would be the hardest, because I am a creature of habit and weekends aren't nearly as structured. This weekend was no different, but the big news is I proved that i can roll with the punches and not screw it all up.

Yesterday was a fairly quiet day so it all went according to plan except the times of my normal meals were a bit off:

Breakfast: Harvest Nut Bar (better than I expected it to be!) with strawberries

Snack (?) Does a drink count as a drink? Anyway I had a Vitamin Water while I was out shopping.

AM Snack: Turbo Shake

Lunch: Tortilla soup (actually quite good!) with a side salad (baby kale, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, olive oil, rice vinegar)

PM Snack: Nutricrush Shake, cherries, grapes

Dinner: Thick Crust Pizza (*shockingly* tastes exactly the same as the "Flatbread Pizza" hahaha) with green beans and a small pat of Earth Balance

Total: 1369 calories

Today was much busier so again timings were weird, and I forgot to pack the Nutricrush Shake. So:

Breakfast: Blueberry Muffin (worst muffin yet) with grapes and a cup of protein+ almond milk

AM snack: Turbo Shake

Lunch: eaten in the car - Chocolate Peanut Butter bar (good) with sugar snap peas and cherry tomatoes

PM Snack: Forgot to pack the Nutricrush bar but I went to the store and found an Odwalla protein shake. I only drank half of it so it was roughly the same calories and protein as the Nutrishake. LOOK AT ME, IMPROVISING AND NOT GETTING A FREAKING DONUT INSTEAD! :)

Dinner (will be): Lasagna and either broccoli or asparagus.

I went to the farmers' market this morning (mostly a bust) and then the Asian grocery store so I am now stocked with cherry tomatoes, zucchini/summer squash, asparagus, bok choy, broccoli, green beans, and snow peas. I'm starting to get on board with this veggies instead of fruits thing!

OH! AND I LOST THREE POUNDS. I technically started NS on Wednesday but I started dieting and tracking food on Sunday so it's kind of been a week but not a full week on NS yet. I'm doing the Turbo 10 which they claim could make you lose up to 10 pounds in a week but that's unrealistic for me. I can't remember the last time I lost three pounds in a week so I am super thrilled with this!
