Day 2 - 100 Day Challenge

Day 2 Workout was a scheduled 19 kilometre long slow distance training run. I'm in training for Detroit Marathon this year so I usually do my long run on the weekend and the shorter runs during the week. I slept in this morning because I went to bed a little late last night dealing with Fitbit syncing issues so I missed my opportunity to get out and do some photographing first thing this morning and the opportunity to go outside and run before it got overly hot.

I like to start my day with some coffee so it was after 9 am before I finally started my run. Since I don't like to run in the heat I took it to the treadmill today. I have a hard time staying motivated on the treadmill so I set up my book in front of me and that kept me busy for about 55 minutes. Then it got tough to stay on so I had to crank the music and check out different things on the internet while on my walk breaks as I run for 10 minutes and then a one minute walk break.

It felt great to complete my run today. Next long run scheduled for next weekend is 23 kilometres. Slowly I am starting to build up that mileage and building my endurance.
