July 22, 2016 LOVE AT WORK

Most people think the last place to show love is at work. However, it is possible to show love to those we work with. It is not the same love we have for our family. But it is godly love as described in the Bible. This godly love can be shown to anyone and everyone. When we show love to those at work as God has called us to do, we will begin to see a positive change in the workplace because we are being obedient to God.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to focus on and remember how You define love. Help us to remember love is patient and kind. Remind us love is not jealous or boastful or rude. Lead us to show love that never gives up, never loses faith and is always hopeful. You give us the guidelines of how to love others in Your word. Help us to apply these guidelines at work and at home. We want to truly love others as You love us. In Jesus' name. Amen.

If we want things to change at work, we need to show love to those we work with.

Showing love to our co-workers means to be patient and kind.

When we don't demand our own way, we are showing love to others.

Do we show love in all we do? Do we show love at work? Start today by following God's definition of love.

We are commanded to love each other just as Jesus loves us.

John 15:12 "This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you." (NLT)

Focus: When we choose to love those we work with, we can change the entire atmosphere of the workplace.
