blog responses, books, stuff like that

Thank you all for posting your comments on my last blog! Y'all have such good ideas!!

I keep all my smaller clothes because I think about how much money I spent! How cute I once-upon-a-time looked in them :) and that I will wear them again.... probably... hopefully... someday!

I'm wanting to downsize so bad. I draw little house plans all the time trying to come up with the perfect floor plan. I even dream of those little tiny houses. They're so hot right now. LOL!

And while I have problems getting rid of clothes, my books are another thing. I don't ever look to get rid of them, I search for clever ways to store/display them!

Yesterday I didn't even start on the closet. After I posted my blog, I spent some time on pinterest, wishing I could be as organized and energetic as all those perfect pinners, watched a couple episodes of Parks & Rec with my daughter, then retreated to my room to finish a book I started a while back.

I love to read... but reading has become somewhat difficult. My eyes begin to blur and water after a couple of hours... and I have to take extra time to rest/focus/read/repeat.... which makes me sad because I used to read for hours and hours!!! So now it takes me a while to finish a book... but oh well, I still love to read. :)

I love books and reading too. However, because our basement is unfinished and so air tight mold can be a big problem. I have tons of bookmarkers but don't have many physical books. Most of the books I have are digital books.

I think having a tiny house would be awesome! Big homes are so overrated. I love our home but sometimes it seems too big even for the two of us. It's hard to get started on a big project. I've been procrastinating for months now on starting writing a novel. We have gotten rid of sooooo much stuff over the years. My rule is if it hasn't been touched in 6 months or more then it's time for it to find a better home. :) I can't tell you how much of our toys from when we were kids we've sold on eBay. lol

I have had my eyes checked. I had some fluid behind my corneas, but the doc gave me drops and 2 weeks later he said all was well. I wear basic reading glasses when I read and I also have prescription glasses for distances. My eyes just aren't what they used to be. I blame age, and probably the fact that I used to read all the time, everywhere, in any light. So, I have to rest them frequently and spread my reading time out. No more all night reading binges :(

I'm SO with you on the book lust! You should SEE my place...seriously could open my own bookstore! BUT I totally and completely LOVE my books...always have and always will! emoticon Some day we are going to have to do some weeding out and get rid of some of them...but this won't be an easy feat for me.

What type of books do you enjoy reading? emoticon

My eye doctor asked this book nerd to take breaks, to go outside and focus on the distance, so the near focus muscles could have a little rest.

I find that I have a hard time reading as long as I used to too. I'm glad you had a good day of tv and reading. It's so hard to get started on big projects, especially ones we dread.

Books and more books. I am learning to let them go after I have read them. Some have been around the world more than once...time to settle down elsewhere! Others are falling apart with age - time to be recycled.

My downfall is books too. My bookcase runneth over lol. But part with them? No, I will reread some of them again and again.
