Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, July 13, 2016

Wednesday, July 13, 2016

Whenever there is opposition in the workplace or even in the world, we need to remember it is Satan wanting to pull us away from focusing on God. We get wrapped up in the latest happenings at work or in the news about the world and we forget we are here to serve God. There are many things we can't do to help others especially when things happen out of our control. But one thing we can do is continue to follow Christ, pray and be a godly example to others. God wants us to trust in Him in the turmoil and continue to obey only Him.

2 Timothy 4:2 "Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching." (NLT)

Dear Lord, many days we see Satan in the midst of the world trying harder and harder to stir things up. Help us at work to be the people who keep the peace and provide encouragement. Help us in our relationships outside of work to be peacemakers and encouragers. Help us to be a godly example and despite what others say or do to us, we continue to follow, serve and obey You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

We can be peacemakers at work even when everyone else seems to be in turmoil.

We can be encouragers at work when others are getting out of control.

God wants us to look for ways to help others at work with His good word.

God wants us to trust in Him in the midst of issues at work and continue to obey Him.

When we work for peace, God will remember and reward us.

Matthew 5:9 "God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God." (NLT)

Focus: Despite the turmoil at work, we need to remember Satan is behind it and pray for God to intervene.
