Pokemon Go & The Splash Pad

Wednesday, July 13, 2016

My husband, 2 boys & I started out late afternoon Pokemon hunting for the first time. Hubby's phone is the only thing we have that will run the game so we go as a family & take turns on catching them.

After hunting in the heat & humidity of late afternoon we went to the splash pad at our park district so they boys could play & cool off the fun way. Then we were going to dry out a bit as we walked home catching a few more Pokemon. So we planned.

The boys played until the park closed and as our oldest headed back by my hubby & I a smaller kid ran in front of him; stopping short to not knock over the little one my oldest ended up tripping over himself and as he fell his chin/lower jaw caught the bottom of the one water slide.

Off we went with 2 soaking wet kids to the local Urgent Care Center. The doc originally said 2 - 3 stitches to close it good, but my oldest freaked out so much at that thought that the doc agreed to try the DermaBond glue. Thankfully it's holding.

They also did X-Rays on his jaw just to be sure nothing was broken or dislocated; thankfully nothing wrong there. The teddy bear was his company as he sat still for the X-Rays.

Now after a late dinner everyone is exhausted and headed to bed. Hopefully the glue holds and he doesn't fiddle with it overnight or during school. If the glue does not work he will have to get the stitches. Oh, speaking of school he has to sit out of gym at summer school until next week minimum to protect the injury and the glue.

How was your Tuesday everyone? LOL
