Tough times easier now.

Update on sister... She is home now, still unable to walk very far but with her walker and/or cane she is able to get around. She is nursing a rather large wound on her shin caused by the EMS team who came to her rescue when she fell. My sis is an RN who was on the team from the hospital that trained that city EMS. I advised her to contact the supervisor re: her wound and the severe bruising caused by them. Well the supervisor was falling over himself apologizing to her even more so when he heard that she helped train his men. He assured her there would be a mandatory protocol seminar for all his teams.
On another note, the funeral for our family/friend member on Friday was beautiful. The priest touched on all of Darlene's loving ways and there wasn't a dry eye in the church.
The service was followed by a lovely luncheon where everyone got to mingle with each other.
Prayers would still be appreciated for her husband and two adult children. Especially her husband. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a few weeks before she passed. I fear he will be having a very hard time with this. 50 years together is a very long time.
