One HOT Summer
Sunday, July 03, 2016
This summer reminds me of when I was pregnant in 2011. We are getting close to breaking 100 degree weather although I don't think we've done it quite yet. We had like 100 consecutive days of 100 plus degrees in 2011.
I have a new work project where I've joined up with a group of other ecommerce sellers and we're working on building our business. I made a small investment because I know the man and I trust him because he's been so helpful already in helping me make some dough from home over the last few years so I'm trying to put any free time I have to working on this new project.
My stomach has been a mess although I suspect its all candida issues. I'm trying hard to clean my diet and I'm doing better. My first and biggest challenge to try and eat at home only to save some money. I'm following some ladies on snap chat who show their food regularly for inspiration.
My goal is to transition to whole food sources. I still malabsorb quite a bit of stuff but I'm trying to stick to what I know I can eat. I am fighting candida so I'll try to have anti-biotic-free meats available along with my favorite fruits and veggies.
I don't seem to do well with coffee either which stinks! But today I had some warm black tea with a bit of coconut oil and stevia and it was pretty smooth I think.
I got all my hair chopped off and I can't say I love it. It looks like a modern day mullet. Its all pretty in the front and a hot mess in the back. I guess I'll pretend its pretty back there since I can't actually see it. LMAO.
My hubs took out a small retirement loan out which we will pay back, to put a new side exterior door in. We need it. When I say need it, I mean NEED IT. LOL. It will be nice to have a side door again. I hate pulling up in the drive way only to walk around to the front of the house. I've had to sit in the car for 45 minutes on three different occasions because the lightning here was so bad that I was afraid to get out and run to the front porch. LOL.
I love where we live. I love to see and look at the ocean. I won't likely be there for the 4th but we try to go on less busy days, although there aren't many non-busy days here on the coast during the summer. I want to spend some time doing some marine life exploring with my 4 year old if he'll allow it. We spent some time this week talking about local habitats and I was fascinated! My son, not so much. But we did get to pet a snake and an alligator.
