So far so good....but

Friday, July 01, 2016

What happens when I won't be home to ride my bike? I can't say I will workout tonight because I honestly don't know if I will have the opportunity. And I won't have the opportunity tomorrow either. This weekend is going to be rough. Honestly it wouldn't be such a big deal if my routine was well established, but it's not. It's very much in it's infant stage. I can say this. I will try to think outside the box for my workouts this weekend. Sure, walking doesn't have the same affect on my body that riding my bike does, but it DOES keep the habit going. I feel like I should be able to walk anywhere. It may be in a tiny circle for 15 minutes, but it's better than nothing. We will be camping at my Uncles house tonight and tomorrow...I think. At least tomorrow, but tonight is up in the air. It basically depends on me getting camping gear packed soon enough and getting something made for the cookout tomorrow. My cousin wants me to make a dill pickle pasta salad. Which really doesn't sound too bad to me. I have so many things I would like to make. Hmmm.....

Have a wonderful weekend my friends and wish me luck!

We can do this!

If you are camping (even in someone's yard) you could volunteer to cut the fire wood, run laps around the house, dance around the camp site. It won't have the same effects as biking but it is movement and it all counts. Have a great weekend and stay safe.

Your routine should turn into "get exercise whenever I can." Things are going to "pop up" for the rest of your life that pull you out of your routine. If you really enjoy riding your bike, that can be your activity for when you are home in the evenings. You can pop in other activities on days when you won't be home in the evenings, like take a walk on your lunch hour. In fact, cross-training will be better for you in the long run than just doing the same routine over and over. And, you may find something else that you like!

Try for a few minutes og walking lunges. If that seems to easy add a shoulder press. The combination should engage the core legs and arms as well aa give you some cardio. Keep going you have your eyes on the prize!
