I'm down 1.8 lbs. I've lost 100.2 lbs. since last November. I'm pleased but not as joyful as you might expect. Not only do I still have a really long way to go but this will be the 4th time in the past 15 years that I've lost 100 lbs. The last three times I gained it back. So, it doesn't feel like a new or special accomplishment and it brings up a lot of guilt and embarrassment about having repeatedly gained back weight I've lost in the past. Oh well, I quite smoking dozens of times before it took. A couple of times I quit smoking for over a year and then started again. It's now been 12 years since I quit smoking. If I can quit a 3 1/2 pack a day smoking habit I can learn to manage my weight.

I'm doing well with my experiment with one exception. I had planned to regularly seek out sources of motivation and inspiration and have been a little lax in that department. It may be because I'm not struggling to stay on track at the moment. But I want to keep it that way so I'm going to work on the inspiration/motivation piece this week.
