Be Your Own Hero

There are so many ways we can accomplish great things. There are so many ways we can be our own heroes. Being your own hero is the beginning of your journey. It is what you need in your heart and in your mind to accomplish great things.

Being your own hero means that you love yourself above all others, no matter your weight. It means that you are focused on your positive qualities, your contributions to the world, your incredible assets. It means that you do not talk negatively to yourself, and you never decide that you are not worth this effort.

It means that you get up every day with a deal with yourself. A deal to make the best out of every day. A deal that you will eat well, eat delicious things, but they will be good for you. When is the last time you had fresh raspberries? When is the last time you ate some great watermelon? When is the last time you made a salad with 10 vegetables in it?

Then, are you sitting down when you eat? Never noshing while you cook? Always eating mindfully and slowly? Those are heroic and smart things to do. So is tracking your food, so you know every single calorie you eat, and how much you have left for the day.

So is exercise, by the way. A new study just came out from England, where they had REVERSED some effects of Alzheimers, through diet, exercise and vitamins. Very promising, and it reminded me that continuing on my path of clean eating, daily exercise, and vitamins is a very good idea.

Be your own hero today.
