Please Be Your Body's Friend- Not Its Enemy

Being part of a weight loss community really reveals you how tightly people's feelings of weight is wound around their idea of their own self worth. I signed up so I can easily log weekly weight, nutrients, food intake and occasionally post something silly or inspiring. Maybe blog a little on my experiences as an overweight woman. This morning alone I saw posts about someone bemoaning gaining a third of a pound, but she's going to work extra hard today to burn 3 times the normal calories to make up the difference. I also saw someone being horrible to themselves because they ate 3 pop tarts. You guys. Our relationship and obseasion with calories and food is so unhealthy. We have to stop battling and instead stage some type of love-in. Your body isn't your enemy that you have to destroy or beat. It's the vessel that holds your soul. Be good to it. Forgive yourself. Make love not war. YOU DESERVE TO LOVE YOURSELF. I challenge you to post 3 things you love about yourself today. Ready- GO.
