Been on a Slippery Slope . . .

with summer activities, family visiting, and other life stuff. I have continued to do my walking, but other exercise has suffered, and tracking has been less diligent. You know where that goes, less discipline equates to more calories. I have been indulging in more than I should have and as a result, the scale is moving the wrong way!! Nothing totally out of control, but 3 pounds can turn in to 6, and then before you know it you are in trouble. So today I am back to tracking diligently and being accountable. Instead of eating an ice cream cone, I am going to have fruit. I am certainly not throwing in the towel, I've come too far for that. I will say the carrot cake I had with family, was absolutely worth it. But because I am such a sugar addict, I cannot forget where the love of cake can take me. Hope anyone who reads this is doing well on their own lifestyle change journey.

You know where you are weak and on the way to turning it around. I keep at least two of thee in the fridge ready to snack. Cut watermelon, canolope, honeydew, slice peaches, sliced apples and grapes. This way I just go in get a small bowl and put them in and this covers my desire to snack, except when I open the frig to find that Hubby took them with him for lunch. Then it is back to the store for more

I was in the same position the past couple of weeks. My parents were visiting. My mom likes to walk so we went on walks but my other exercises (cardio DVDs and strength training) suffered. My dad loves to eat so there was always sweets int eh house and I often indulged. It was my birthday Monday so I had to have cake....and then leftover cake again on Tuesday just to get rid of the temptation. On Wednesday, like you, I thought to myself "I have come to far to let this end my journey" so here I am, still sparking :)
