Checking in (with myself mostly). Trying to make this a habit! I had my group meeting of sorts last night with real appeal, and this week was about sneaking in extra movement throughout the day, such as finding ways to get up every hour if you work a desk job, or walking in place while you watch TV. I've actually tried to do mini desk exercises at work, but always seem to forget to do them! Guess I should set a reminder to pop up. I just always feel so overwhelmed I feel like I don't have the time! Guess I have to make it a priority a take a minute or two to at least stretch and shake my muscles out.
I'm waiting on pins and needles right now. They are taking groups of us into meetings that we aren't being told what the meeting is about! Of course, my group isn't until this afternoon and it's driving me crazy! I only hope someone will take pity on me and tell me what it's about. The last time they had a big meeting it was to tell us one of our departments was being moved to a regional division and that their jobs would be eliminated in about a year! Scary. I can't imagine that's what's happening again, but it's hard not to think the worst! Fingers crossed....
Well, I guess that's it for my mini break. My plan for today is I will track my food, drink at least 6 cups of water, and do something this evening that keeps me moving (a task around the house or a workout). I will also set reminders to stretch and move throughout the day!
