Whoa, dude. It just got weird.

It's been... a REALLY long time since I sat down with a computer to get on SP. I've been around, but only through the app, which is... well, it's different. It's a little better for some of my purposes, but I swear, I miss the camaraderie and ability I have on the computer to communicate with people.

A lot has happened in the time it's been since my last blog post. I've gained back a bit of weight, and despite very frequent nursing of my almost two-year-old, I didn't lose any pregnancy weight. It got hard to exercise, so I have slacked off in that, and I've had a major career shift--I quit my job last April so that I could work at home. Being home has meant a little less time to myself, and a LOT less time to be on the computer. I got spoiled by having a job where I could sit at a desk and do whatever I wanted as long as my work was done!

I've joined Girl Scouts. That's become a HUGE part of my life, and my major outlet for adult interaction, believe it or not. I mean, my daughter joined Girl Scouts too, and she loves it, and I'm her troop leader, but I've spent the past 9 months learning that there is a LOT for adults to do in Girl Scouts. It's gotten to the point where my husband has complained about not seeing me for more than 1 or 2 nights a week.

But you know, almost every time I've gone to a meeting with these other women, food has been involved...

Anyway. I don't really have much to say, but I have been doing a little bit, and as of yesterday, my son has been weaned for 1 week. I've started trying to eat more healthfully, and today is, I believe, the 4th day in a row that I've stayed well within my goal of 1500 calories. When I've managed to track, off and on, I was always eating between 2500 and 3000 calories per day--and that's when I thought I was doing well!

The lower calories hasn't really had adverse effects on me, either, which is a big surprise. I've cut back on coffee, so I've been a little more sleepy a little earlier in the day, but it's been all right. And that hasn't been on purpose, so much... I got sick about 2 weeks ago and slept for most of a 36-hour period, and when I woke up, coffee was not something I was into. A couple days later, as I got to feeling better, I did want to get back to it, but it wasn't as much of a need... I guess being sick forced me to catch up on some sleep debt.

It's cool to come back and see changes around the website.... I like them, but I might not have if I'd been around to watch them happen. I'm glad to get the chance to update my page and let everyone know I'm still kicking! If you've read this far, leave me a comment just to say hey!
