Ducks on my training run!! Facing a weight gain.

video from my run this morning! BABY DUCKS!!! Well, it's 10:00 am (ish) and already over 80 degrees. I may boil today. lol. But I got up early and did my last training run before Sunday's 10k!! Tomorrow will be a day off to rest my muscles so they are ready to push me for the race. I'm really excited for it, I forgot it was a 10k and not a 5k but that's ok! After doing the half marathon last May I think I can handle the 10k.

Last night went well, I did ...ok with the cake. I stayed below calorie range all day, including dinner (my weakness). However, I did have seconds which was not good. My brother encouraged me, he always tempts me. He is the best brother but when it comes to food he sabotages my efforts. On Monday he brought fast food over for me while we hung out to watch some videos....sigh. Every time I say don't bring anything...he brings something. emoticon

So due to all of this I'm not surprised to see a gain on the scale. Ok, I was definitely surprised. I thought I'd be down atleast 1/2 a pound with all my hard work. I felt way more on track this week...but then I remembered my brother, the birthday cake as well as memorial day weekend...all of that combined cancels out all of my efforts. So I'm going to admit the gain and push forward more determined than ever! emoticon

I was 126.4 last week
This week I'm right back up to 128 again! ARGH!!

So that's a 1.6 lb gain. I'm mad at myself but this is a wake up call I need to face up to. I need to push myself a little more and control my portions. Now that it's summer the weather is gorgeous and working out is easy! I need to attack this regain now before winter hits so I can enjoy the holidays in maintenance!

I want to take control again and push push push!

So just wanted to admit the gain this week and move forward. My next race is really close and I'm so ready for it!
