Life Is A Circus! (Well, mine is!!)

Friday, June 03, 2016

As I was commenting on a emoticon Blog this morning, I was reminded that I should blog about how I think of my life as an ongoing CIRCUS! emoticon

I star as the Fat Lady in this side show! Let me guess my weight - an ongoing guess, ever changing, yet not changing enough in the right direction! Yesterday a brief happy dance over a 4 lb. Loss - Ooops, today back Up 3 lbs.!

Clowns running in, out, and all around the big top! Everyone adding new antics! Today's featured Clown is wearing plumber garb ! Replacing the guts in the back tank of the toilet - for the 2nd time in 6 months! Cost $141.00 on January 26, 2016! And look totally unfamiliar, not like anything I've seen before...had a hard time even jimmying it (with a plastic shoe horn), to get it to stop running, till the Plumber Clown could get here, to replace it again!! But the best part of his show is the song & dance routine about WHY We have to pay $$ again, for same part in less than 6 months!!

You are playing calliope emoticon duh duh dududia music in your head while reading this blog, right!? emoticon

Jugglers juggeling an ever changing assortment of things thrown at us!
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Never knowing, ever changing, constantly spinning!
Keeping them all in the air, so far so good today, nothing crashing out of the mix, to hit the floor!

Of course we have a Ring Master - pretending he's got it covered, under control! Thinks by Yelling Louder he can direct the action where he wants it! emoticon

There is an animal act emoticon to entertain! So we have the care, feeding and training of the animal act!

And food, can't have a Circus without food! We have Everything - some good, healthy, qualifies as food - some is like Cotton Candy emoticon tastes yummy, but not going to nourish anyone!

But the Show goes on! Never dull, still pretty entertaining - till the Fat Lady Sings !
(Was humming pretty good while in Jefferson Hospital in April - but resuscitated 2x)

I have always replaced my tank guts myself. IT takes about a half hour, but you need to buy the contractors guts that last longer.

I am late to the emoticon with this reply = due to just recently having touched lives with you here in "Sparkville" = having read that y'all were celebrating your anniversary. I hope it was a most wonderful day for y'all both. emoticon

We "Visions" will be celebrating our Golden Anniversary come this Saturday (April 28th). I noticed that you & I are of an age; however, having married while still in college I obviously married at a younger age than you. One of the biggest blessings of my life is the pure delight & privilege of having entered into the covenant of marriage with my beloved MrV & the resulting stewardship given us in the three Blessings (as I term our offspring) & now seven Grandblessings & one Great-Grandblessing (born last June 2nd).

I must say that I enjoyed reading this blog. Life does at times seem like a circus with each person in our daily world playing a part in that circus picture.

As for the day's "featured Clown wearing plumber garb", it does not sound as though he has enough skill to do the job right = it should not have needed redoing six months later. Actually, according to my beloved husband (I call him "MrV" here in "Sparkville"), that job is quite easy to do...he purchased a kit at Lowe's & saved us the expense of hiring a possible "clown without integrity". Our cherished youngest daughter & her husband did that same job in their guest bathroom & were quite happy to realize that that is one job that they can do themselves. She, also, remodeled that bathroom herself...only help she needed was in removing the tub & old vanity and putting the new in place and then she did need to hire a specialist to do something with the shower head hook up (she tried & tried to get it right herself before she broke down & hired the guy who literally did it in three minutes. emoticon She amazes me with what she will tackle. Her theory is that if others have learned how to do the job-at-hand, she can learn it &, thus, will add a useful skill to her capabilities. I do admire that attitude in her. She is an elementary school reading specialist for her employment & her "career" (as she puts it) is being a wife, daughter, sister, & a volunteer (along with her husband) with the Human Society & Animal Aide in their area. Needless to say we are very proud of her choices in how to spend the minutes of her life.

As you can see I tend to be rather chatty (long-winded) in my sharing!

I do look forward to getting to know you better, Theresa.

Enjoy the circus of life that God has gifted you with, my new Sparkville Friend!

    God bless!

Maybe charging admission to the show would pay for the plumbing! emoticon

Anyway, emoticon , hope things go better the rest of this month.

Oh, Theresa...I sometimes think if our lives weren't a circus, we wouldn't have any lives at all!! Seems that way here oftentimes, too, but you do really take the prize for the most surgeries with the most complications, that's for sure. Hopefully, the plumbing will work perfectly now and everything else will be smooth sailing for you. Have a QUIET and RELAXING weekend, friend!! Hugs!
