Thought and Prayer for Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

While we are waiting on God's timing, we should be praying, planning and preparing. Praying will help us focus on Him and depend on Him. Planning will help us know what options are out there. Preparing will allow us to do the research, get equipped and be ready for when He tells us it is time. Answering God's call in obedience to Him is to be in His will and following through with His plan. It means we are in line with His timing. We are following His command and allowing Him to take control.

Habakkuk 2:3 "This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed." (NLT)

Acts 20:24 "But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know Your plan will surely take place. We know while we are waiting on Your plan to be fulfilled, we should be working. We should be praying, planning and preparing. Your timing for all things is perfect and our work for You should be in faith knowing You will follow through with all Your promises. And we thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

While we are waiting on God's perfect timing, we should do His will and share His Good News with others.

God wants us to pray and stay in constant communication with Him as we do His will.

God wants us to plan according to His will so we need to stay in a close relationship with Him as we plan.

God wants us to prepare and be ready to go when He calls us to get up and do His work.

While we are waiting on God's plan to be fulfilled, we should work towards finishing the work He has assigned to us.

Matthew 24:13 "But the one who endures to the end will be saved." (NLT)

Focus: God's work will be complete one day so we should do today what He calls us to do according to His plan.
