May 30, 2016 FREEDOMS

God gives each of us a certain amount of time on this earth. Each of us have a certain purpose as well. In our lives, He gives us freedom. We have freedom to choose to do whatever we like. However, with wrong choices comes consequences. We all have freedom of choice but we are told not to use our freedom for sin but to use our freedom to serve one another in love.

Galatians 5:13 "For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love." (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for our freedoms. Thank You for our spiritual freedoms to pray and share Your word. Thank You for the freedoms in our country and for the men and women who served and those who gave up their lives for our freedom. Thank You for Christ who gave His life to free us from sin so we could have eternal life. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank God for the men and women who served and those who died so we may have freedoms in this country.

God's timing includes both the good and the bad. Sometimes the bad has to happen for the good to be revealed.

Many died so we could have the freedoms we have. We don't understand why but God knows and we are to trust in Him.

Jesus came to this world according to God's plan and died so we may live in eternity with Him.

Thank God for the freedoms we have because of Jesus who suffered and died so that we may live.

1 Timothy 2:6 "He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time." (NLT)

Focus: Those who put their lives on the line for us to be free should be remembered in gratitude always.
