Habit or Hunger?

I'm working on doing some fasting a few times a week and have arrived at 23 hour fast with a 1 hour feasting period. Ultimately I would like to do this more frequently and begin the fast earlier in the day (finish eating by about 3-4, breaking the fast about 2-3). I've gotten one day done and found I actually enjoyed the fast and learned a lot about myself in the process. The most important thing I found is that I'm not usually an eater because I'm hungry, but because its *time* to eat. I've spent 60+ years eating my 3 squares and its HARD to break the mind of that habit.
I'm a very low carb eater, and in ketosis, so my body is adapted to eating ketones for fuel. I don't think I could do this as easily if it weren't. I just don't have the same hunger that I had on the standard American diet. Its wonderful. So, today is the second day and though I'm a little bit hungry, it just isn't hard to keep going. Its just breaking the thought that I *have* to eat at those certain times that I have to fight!. I consider this a victory!!
