Take time to appreciate

Sunday, May 29, 2016

Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.

Do you appreciate every single day? Do you appreciate all you have done to make your life better, to find happiness, to be healthy? You need to.

There are so many important things in life to appreciate. Today is a magnificent day here in Minneapolis. It is beautiful, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and we just got rain, so everything is becoming gloriously green.

I went to the gym and swam, and saw a sign that the pool will be closed for two weeks. I was a little mad, but realized how much this one pool has given me, how important it is to me, and I realize that it is really cool that I don't want to live without it for two weeks. I have already looked up the closest YMCA with an open pool, and I am going to use it. I appreciate the heck out of that pool, and what it has given me this past year.

Appreciate your family today. Appreciate how important they are, and how wonderful your children are. Appreciate your friends and neighbors.

Appreciate you.

Spark on.

You are SO right! I think appreciation is the ONLY thing to help us move forward!

The last day of May! As I look back on my month, I see I DID so much, as far as organizing goes! emoticon for me! I took each day as it came & chose my life to be as positive as I could. I had several boo boo's that are finally healing & now I can get back to my 'real' life! YEAH! emoticon Swam 2 hours for first time with DH in our paradise pool. It was a joy full day for us! We swam after I hiked for 2 hours. Rested ALL day Monday! emoticon

Appreciation is what I think of as a fundamental thing to truly live life! It goes hand in hand with gratitude!
I believe that saying about realizing you have what others pray for! It gives a real different perspective, doesn't it?
    Have a good Memorial Day!

I am thankful every day for all the blessings I have received, and also for the knowledge I have been given to be able to take better care of myself. We just got back from the hospital - Tom's mother fell when his sister was getting her out of bed this afternoon and she broke her leg in two places, the same leg that she broke 8 years ago with rods & pins in it. I have watched her deteriorate since that first brake. She went to physical therapy but didn't go home and do the exercises. She tried to fix everything with surgeries and medications and as the pain got worse she stopped eating much and didn't drink much either (she didn't like the taste of water!). Now she's completely immobile, needs help with everything, and sit's all day staring off into nothing. Some of her problems are just the natural aging process but I am absolutely sure that if she had done her exercises, ate proper nutritional meals, and hydrated herself better she wouldn't be in such bad shape now.

And I'm sure she doesn't realize what a toll this takes on her 6 children and even her grandchildren. I'm going to do everything I can to NOT be that kind of burden to my children!

Thanks for giving me something important to think about. Have a great evening.

I appreciate so much - the life I've been given, the love I receive from my parents, the home and family I share with Steve, and the many friends I've made, including YOU! Life can be filled with disappointment or it can be full of opportunity - it all depends on how you look at it. I'm so glad you saw the pool closing as a chance to find a new place to swim! You are AWESOME!

Much love on this beautiful Sunday!

Love the message. I am currently wishing I were blessed with a little ( make that a lot) less stuff. It's hard to dispose of the many gifts that the Grandkids have given me over the years. And 40 plus years of accumulated stuff, lol. But the joy that they feel when they give me things add to my many blessings so I shouldn't complain. If we just take a moment to look around at our lives it's amazing to see how much we really have to appreciate.

And I soooo appreciate you, my amazingly inspirational friend, Sandi

Thanks for a very important reminder. I t is all too easy to take for granted the people, places and even things that we should truly appreciate.
