When you wind up at swinger hotel in Vegas with your mother in law & 14 yr old son......

Yesterday was fantastic! Walked over 11k miles. Went to breakfast in the morning. Stayed on track. Went to paramount pictures studio for a tour of how movies and shows are made. Walked on the set of Dr. Phil and a Nickelodeon show called Ricky, Nicky, dicky & Don. Saw where Lucille Ball used to live when Paramount actually housed movie stars. Saw the real Forest Gump bench that Tom Hanks used in the making of probably one of the most amazing movies ever made. Went through the decades of film making back to tell roaring 20's. It really was an amazing experience. After that we to universal city walk to meet my mother-in-law s second cousin for lunch because he lives in the area and is a film editor. His girlfriend does make up for shows & movies. We didn't get to meet her. Lunch was a little harder to stay on track. The only healthy thing on the menu wasn't that healthy but I ordered brick chicken with black beans and cilantro rice. I ate all the chicken and a few bites of the beans and rice. Done! After lunch we walked around the shops, took a picture of the universal studios spinning globe and headed to Las vegas. Oh yeah, without a room reserved. Did I mention that I LOVE ADVENTURE & FLYING BY THE SEAT OF MY PANTS. Hahaha! We found our way to Vegas, stopped into the stratosphere for dinner at Fillini's and dinner was amazing! I had shrimp with rapini (broccoli raab), squash, broccoli, onions and garlic. It is normally served with pasta and rapini but I asked for no pasta and they delivered with precision. It was amazeballs! So during dinner the scramble for shelter began. It wouldn't have been a problem but it just so happens to be memorial day weekend and everything was taken except at the SLS. I'm pretty it's a swingers place of habitation considering on our way into the elevator three women came of the elevator in just their see through bras and barely nothing skirts. I wish you could have seen my face. It wasn't my husband I was concerned about. It was my kid. I'm yelling "hunter close your eyes". And simultaneously I'm yelling at the women "I think you forgot the rest of your outfit in your room". My mother-in-law noticed the hotel was a bit risqué as soon as she walked through the front door. She was Staring into all the bars and rooms on the ground floor with such curiosity and a little disgust. It was quite funny. So now I'm awake and read for our next adventure. The GRAND CANYON AND THE HOVER DAMN! And then home. I miss my bed, my shower, my pillow, my pugs, and my gym. I really miss my gym. I already have tomorrow planned out. 330 workout and prepare for a day trip to Jerome, AZ. My favorite place in the whole state. It feels like I belong there. It's a spiritual connection that's hard to explain to those without the gift of empathy. Please note that I am crossing my legs in the photo. I can now and I do often. That's a victory. Crossing my legs has always been a challenge.

Omg, you're cracking me up! I live in Vegas & pretty much never go to the strip because it is all kinds of nasty. If I go to a show, it's in, watch the show, back on the freeway asap! Glad you survived. I promise, nice Christian people live here too!
