My Body Is So Much Smarter Than Me - May 26, 2016

Thursday, May 26, 2016

Each time I thwart myself with excessive eating for whatever reason, my body complains. emoticon

My body is so much smarter than me, warning me that I've overdone it again. emoticon

My body is so much smarter than me, telling me that feeling bloated is the result of overeating. emoticon

My body is so much smarter than me, telling me that sluggish feeling is from excessive eating. emoticon

My body is so much smarter than me, telling me that great feeling comes from eating right and exercising. emoticon

So, when will I learn to listen to my body, as it is so much smarter than me?

Uuugh! Exactly what I needed to hear after eating a larger-than-I-needed brownie sundae.... my body totally knows better.

Not sure its something we learn once-- I have a feeling that we continue to remind ourselves over and over again when appropriate. Maybe the important thing is that we stay alert and listen to our bodies...

It's definitely an ongoing learning experience!

The flour and sugar that most of us have been eating since childhood works against us when we don't recognize we are satiated and have eaten enough, and constantly have cravings to eat more of it!

I am most successful when I am not eating processed foods. Especially sugar.

    Good question.

And: my body is immediately so grateful when it gets the care it needs: feeling fabulous and lifting my spirits and making me happy!

LOL! My body and my brain don't always agree, I think that's the problem.

Oh yes. If we could all do that, we wouldn't need SP.
But we're human so we need to just keep reminding ourselves
Tomorrow is another day. Hang in there.

For me, something just "clicked" and I GOT it what I had to do. But, do I "listen" to my body? No, I tell IT what to do and follow my healthy plan period. Hope you find your answer!

It can be hard to always remember the right feelings. I know that sometimes I get to the point where I'm like, "but it tastes so good, I must be remembering the bad wrong." Then I know I'm not after a second heaping serving of something. NOW, I really try to remember. Sometimes, however, it is like I just have to pay the price.

**SIGH** don't have an answer to that question, but the fact that you're ASKING says you are at least ready to entertain the idea.

sometimes it just takes that aha moment. You know mine. Listen w/your head and your heart and you'll have it.

HUGS and know you're not alone.
