Going to try a diet

Hi. I thought I would share what I am going to try. SparkPeople is my first attempt to loose weight. I am going to try and continue documenting what I eat but my doc referred me to a weight management doc Before I knew it I was put on a "Balance " diet. I start after Memorial day, we will be having my favorite meal - steak, baked potatoes &

    I have been on a dieting carousel since my teens! I have successfully lost a LOT of weight - up to 180 pounds before - and have always gained it back.
    Three times, I have used Spark people to help me lose the weight... and I have suddenly realised that when the weight was gone, so was my efforts to 'Spark' as much. THIS time around, I am taking it slower, and am going to use Spark People even when I reach my goal weight. No matter how wonderful my friends and family may be... I need my Spark family too :)
    I am now two-thirds of the way to my initial goal weight - and when I reach that I will decide whether I want to lose another 10 pounds to take me to within a healthy BMI.

    Sparking is amazing - we can all be successful sparklers :)

    This is working great for me. Keeps me aware of what I'm doing. I started in November I think and I'm down 85 #. It's working. You can do this. Drink water have lots of healthy foods around you can do this without starving. Good luck.

    I have been using this app for about two weeks, it's great! All the people keep me motivated and tracking the food keeps me aware of what I'm putting in my mouth.

    Good luck! This app has been a lifesaver for me. Tracking everything gives such a clear picture of why one is gaining or losing.
